Sterilizing, or "fixing", your pet is imperative if we are to be successful in limiting the number of healthy, adoptable animals euthanized each year. And in Los Angeles, it's also the law. All dogs and cats, with a few specific exceptions, must be sterilized by the age of four months old (eight weeks). Spaying/neutering eliminates accidental litters, in addition to making your pet healthier and happier. More information on spaying and neutering and why you should do it, visit the Found Animal Foundation's page on the topic.
